Join Us on Facebook

Since we launched the Shakespeare in a Year Challenge this month, I've been working hard to get people involved: harassing my friends, chatting up Shakespeare fans on book-club websites, sending out news releases, making connections with other Bard bloggers -- basically, an endless stream of shameless Shakespeare promotion.

But the best way to get people involved, I've discovered, is our good friend Facebook, where I recently set up a Shakespeare In a Year group. If you're visiting from that group, welcome! On the other hand, if you're not already involved in the Facebook group, we'd love to see you there.

This website will continue to be the official home of the Shakespeare In a Year Challenge, but we're already having some great chats on Facebook, too. Come on over and join us!

  1. This is a wonderful idea although pretty intense. But then again, the RSC performed all the plays in a year, so reading them is certainly achievable.

I have a query. There is a website that lists all professional Shakespeare performances in Britain. Is there anything like that for the U.S.?

  2. Miss Ashley.. My name is Patti Hamilton, I am called Lotus (long story lol).. I think your idea of Shakespeare in a year, is great! I was in a research hospital most of my childhood, and read several (but nowhere near all) of Master Shakespeare's works. It's been since the 60's/70's but I still am grateful for the escapist quality. I know I am late, but is there still time to sign up? I couldn't find a link. I wish you extremely well.. writer and educator to write and educator :). Namaste, Lotus

  3. Lotus -- Of course there's still time! We're only on the third play, so join us now with "As You Like It" and catch up on the other two later. (We've done "Midsummer" and "Comedy of Errors.") I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the plays!
